Meet Paul Gusiff

Headshot of realtor Paul Gusiff

The most important responsibility I have is to give my clients the information and guidance to help them make the best decisions possible to achieve their goals.

Buying or selling a home often involves the biggest asset a person will ever own, so there are many stress points that need to be addressed throughout the process. If I am doing my job well, my clients will be sleeping well at night and will have an increased level of excitement, not stress.

I promise:

I will be the person you can trust. I will do the right thing even if it means advising you not to move forward on a sale. My business relationships go beyond a transaction and reflect a friendship that continues after the close of escrow.

My strengths are:
  • Patience. I will remain calm and persevere even under difficult circumstances.
  • Communication. I always take the time to listen to my clients so that I can effectively respond to their needs.
  • Experience, knowledge, wisdom and instinct from 36+ years of selling homes.
My greatest passions are:

Faith, family and friends. These are my greatest blessings, and all of my passions revolve around these interactions.

What my clients appreciate:
  • My clients know that it's not about my best interests, but it's always about theirs.
  • That I answer my phone and if not available I will always get back to my client the same day.
  • That I work hard at my job so that my clients don't have to stress.

What My Clients Say

Paul is not a "car salesman," who is syrupy, overly talkative, and loud. There is no feeling that his one goal is to "make a sale." He sincerely wants to know his client and help the client achieve maximum return on investment. He takes the time to do so, making sure that his client is being understood and properly represented each step of the way.

This is the second house we have sold, and we could not have imagined the process going any better than it did.

David T. Seller

Are you looking for a realtor who is trustworthy, experienced, patient, kind and attentive? You can't do better than Paul!

He encouraged us to wait when we almost went with a house we didn't love, and he helped us move quickly for our home that we absolutely love. I can't imagine going through this process with anyone else, so I can't recommend Paul highly enough.

Alan M. Buyer

Paul represents himself with honesty and integrity. From the first and only open house, we had several good offers. Paul listened to me and helped me select the right buyer, and after negotiating with them, I got a higher price.

I couldn't have been more pleased with the professionalism Paul exhibited.

FAQs

What do I need to do to get my home ready to sell?

The answer to this question is always influenced by budget restrictions, family dynamics and current market conditions. Typically, I encourage most sellers to start with painting and then consider new flooring if needed. Beyond those improvements it can start to get expensive and the investment may not be worth the return, especially if it means delaying or complicating the sale. For some situations I even recommend selling “as is”, especially if the seller is overwhelmed by the improvements needed and simply wants a quick sale.

Should I wait to buy when prices or interest rates come down?

Buyers are always looking for the perfect time to buy in order to get the best deal. That’s understandable, but what I have learned over my 36+ years of selling real estate is that it’s so difficult to predict when the market is going to soften or go through a major correction. Except for the rare occasions, real estate values increase from year to year and even when there is a correction of sorts the market will bounce back, sometimes at breakneck speed. I always tell buyers to look for the right house at value and understand that over time real estate is always a good investment.

When is the best time to lock in a mortgage rate?

Rates can change from day to day and sometimes even the best financial expert has a difficult time predicting when rates will go up or down. Normally a buyer will lock in a rate soon after starting escrow, usually when the market has a good day and rates bump down a bit. The risk is if you wait too long you may end up with a much higher rate, putting your approval at risk. Keep in mind that your first loan when buying a home is often refinanced when rates come down due to economic factors.

What is the best way to market a home?

The most important factor in selling a home is having good photos! Quality photos are everything when it comes to marketing online and grabbing the attention of potential buyers. Therefore, I always use a professional photographer and personally help with the preparation of the home beforehand to make it look its best.
